Noah Ahmed Alleges Death Threat and Police Intimidation by APC Supporters in Taraba
Jalingo, Taraba State—September 14, 2026—Taraba State governorship aspirant of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Hon. Noah Ahmed, has raised serious alarm over what he describes as a death threat and police intimidation by supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
In a post shared on X on Monday, Ahmed appealed to Nigerians for prayers and financial support, stating he is currently enduring significant hardship.
He recounted that the incident began when he visited a printing shop and encountered a man he identified as an APC supporter who followed him on the platform.
According to Ahmed, the individual verbally attacked him and explicitly threatened to kill him.
“Guys please Pray for me am going through a lot please I need your support, nothing is too small, I went to print this Guy is an APC Guy I never knew he followed me he on x he Attacked me saying he will kill me as a trainer person we did he called police for me to come Arrest,” Ahmed wrote.
He further alleged that the man subsequently involved the police in an apparent attempt to have him arrested, framing the episode as part of broader political intimidation linked to his ambition to contest the Taraba governorship under the NDC in the 2027 general elections.
Ahmed, who presents himself as a youth-focused leader emphasizing integrity, transparency, education, agriculture, healthcare, and economic opportunities for Tarabans, has been actively mobilizing support ahead of the polls.
His campaign materials highlight themes of bold leadership and a brighter future for the state.
The claims surface at a time of rising political tension across Nigeria as parties and aspirants intensify activities toward 2027.
