Yari Assures Tinubu Northern Nigeria Is 101 Percent Behind Him for 2027
Kaduna, Nigeria—October 24, 2026—The Director-General of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council, Senator Abdulaziz Yari, has declared that northern Nigeria is “101 percent” behind President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid in the 2027 general election.
Speaking at the party’s presidential campaign flag-off rally held at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium in Kaduna on Saturday, Yari delivered a strong assurance of regional support to the President.
Strong Pledge of Support
“Mr President, I want you to listen to us carefully. Northern Nigeria is 101 per cent for you, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, by God’s grace, Insha Allah. And the promise we have made, you are going to see it on January 16, 2027,” Yari said.
He emphasized that the campaign council had been engaging traditional rulers, Islamic scholars (ulama) and imams across the North to explain the importance of continuity under Tinubu’s leadership for peace and national stability.
Campaign Strategy and Records
Yari stated that the APC would campaign on the administration’s record rather than respond to what he described as opposition tactics involving artificial intelligence-driven misinformation.
He highlighted achievements in infrastructure, healthcare, education, human capital development, student loans and conditional cash transfers.
The former Zamfara State governor also defended the government’s agricultural policies, claiming that about two million farmers had committed to supporting Tinubu in 2027.
Yari described Kaduna as the political centre of northern Nigeria and noted the presence of key regional stakeholders and APC governors at the event as evidence of unity behind the President’s second-term ambition.
The rally was attended by President Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima, several northern governors, and other party leaders.
