Olukoyede was represented at the award presentation by Assistant Commander of the EFCC (ACE II) Aisha Mohammed, Head of the Commissionβs Enlightenment and Reorientation Unit.
In a statement delivered on his behalf, the EFCC chairman emphasized that the fight against corruption is fundamentally a fight for democracy itself.
βHeroes are builders; they are architects of enduring designs. And that is why the fight against corruption is a fight for democracy.β
He further linked the Commissionβs work to tangible national benefits, stating that recovered funds are channelled into initiatives such as the Nigerian Education Loan Fund.
The message also stressed the importance of protecting Nigerian talent from cybercrime and using culture as a foundation for integrity, hard work, and national identity.
National Coordinator and organizer of the event, Idakwo Oruma, explained that the Heroes Award was created to publicly acknowledge service, sacrifice, integrity, cultural preservation, and contributions to democratic growth.
