Ossai Ovie Success, Senior Special Assistant on Media to Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, on Saturday publicly offered the woman ₦500,000 in cash support, an all-expenses-paid VIP trip to Asaba, and an ambassadorial role for the fourth edition of the Delta Social Media Summit.

The incident occurred during the graduation ceremony of UBA’s Graduate Management Accelerated Programme (GMAP).
When the young trainee took the floor, she began with “Good morning, Tony.” Elumelu, who initially appeared to mishear her, gently but firmly corrected her.
“No, you won’t call me Tony. You’ll call me Mr Elumelu or TOE. You won’t call me Tony or Chairman. I don’t subscribe to that kind of Oyinbo life, okay?” he said. The trainee promptly adjusted and continued with her question.
