In a fiery rebuttal issued by the media team of businessman Dr. Oluomo Osinkolu has forcefully denied circulating reports that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has declared him wanted.

According to the statement, Dr. Osinkolu has been present in Nigeria—specifically in Ekiti State—for the past six weeks, living and working openly without any attempt to evade authorities.

The team argued that the EFCC can only declare a person wanted when their whereabouts are unknown, which is clearly not the case here.

The statement insisted that Dr. Osinkolu operates legitimate businesses through a duly registered company and has no involvement in any criminal activity.

While acknowledging that commercial disputes or litigation may arise in any business, the team stressed that such matters should be handled through proper court proceedings, not mischaracterized as criminal conduct.

Furthermore, the media team accused unnamed political rivals of orchestrating a smear campaign, noting that election periods often trigger the circulation of false information and sponsored propaganda aimed at tarnishing the image of strong opponents.

“This is one of such attempts and should be disregarded,” the statement read, urging the public, supporters, and media organizations to verify facts before amplifying unverified claims.
