Nubationg, Plateau- Security forces have arrested a man suspected of criminal activity following a swift response to a tip-off in Jos East, Plateau State.

Officials say troops from Operation Enduring Peace moved into Nubationg Village on Saturday after residents reported a stranger acting suspiciously.

Troops from Sector 1, Sub‑Sector 12 conducted a targeted check and detained 35‑year‑old Mamuda Idris, who remains in custody while investigators probe his movements and any links to local crime networks.

Local commanders described the arrest as the result of close cooperation between troops and community members.

“Timely information from residents enabled us to identify and take action quickly,” one source said, noting that officers will continue intelligence-led patrols across the area.
